Why is the word PHOOEY associated with Lester Maddox?




















Georgians reacted and had fun with it.




































Then Lester moved from the Ansley Park Governor’s Mansion into the new Governor’s palace just finished in Buckhead.
 
And a Lester parody went on stage and on to Broadway. The Ansley Mansion was sold.  
Actually the chicken was from Paschal’s Restaurant which fed the Civil Rights movement.
